To anyone interested in buying the much revered cachet kraft paper sketchbooks:

I just bought an 8.5" x 11" hardbound, 80 sheet one for $12.95 at WAL*MART.
It must be a new item because I have never seen it there before.

So when you pickup your motor oil, big-screen tv and a gallon of Sunny D, stop by the crafts department and take a look-see.

Thanks Madeline! Hmm... I've never drawn in one of those. How do you like it?

I haven't sketched in it yet. This is the type of sketchbook the boys were talking about on DrawnToday. Donato recommended it and using a red and white pencil - specifically, Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer WaterColor Pencils.

We don't have a close-by WalMart (which I'm not all that unhappy about actually). I *did* draw in my new Utrecht toned-paper sketchbook this weekend - which was awesome. Will post some soon.
